System components
The infrastructure consists of Sensors & Actors, Access Points, Sensor Bridge software and interface connections to other computer systems, as shown in the picture (System overview) above.
Access Points are the wireless infrastructure to receive RF (radio frequency) signals of all sensors and actors and transmit them to the Sensor Bridge. They also send acknowledge radio signals to the sensors and actors to ensure a reliable exchange of information.
The Sensor Bridge is equipped with a web interface to configure, manage and monitor the entire infrastructure of Access Points, Sensors & Actors and the Sensor Bridge itself.
Connection interfaces like HTTP:POST, REST:API and Modbus TCP are included into the Sensor Bridge to access the system from third party ERP-Systems and IT-Systems. Using the connection interfaces external systems may also configure, manage and monitor the entire system.
Switches and actuators
steute offers a variety of sWave.NET sensors and actors. Click here for details.
Access Points
Access Points are radio signal receivers for the switches and actuators. They forward information to the Sensor Bridge. There may be several Access Points within one sWave.NET installation.
